Segrest catalog says--> Aequidens pulcher.Hmmmm... but what is it? Some type of GT/blue acara/hybrid? I know Segrest calls it "electric blue acara" on their list but a lot of their common names are incorrect for various species. I'd be interested to know which acara it was bred from. It's hard to tell with the original species' distinguishing markings gone.
Sold out of our first import but may have more in soon. Still not sure if A. pulcher or hybrid, probably morph of pulcher
Yup! They appeared on the stocklist for Segrest farms last week, meaning that they will be all over the country very soon. You'll probably see them in Petco/Petsmart since Segrest supplies a lot of them. I paid full retail for mine, which was $18. I got it from a store called "A Family Pet Center" in Sarasota, FL. They just asked Segrest to surprise them with some fish and that's what arrived! I think my pics were the first ones on the internet, but Segrest added a pic of their own yesterday.
