It may not grow back. One of my bichirs got into a fight, and one nostril looked "broken" for a while (looked like a 90 degree angle in the middle) and eventually fell off, and hasn't grown back. He eats fine though.

Ow…..gutted for this little man he is only about 3.5 inches. Ow well I’ll see him right from here in. Thanks for your help. He is my first poly although I do have an ornate that was with him in the big tank that seems fine….but he don’t come out nearly as much as the endi was….I’ll keep an eye on him (excuse the pun)
