I'm an idiot. :screwy:

I started cleaning my tank and had it half emptied when I noticed one of my fiddler crabs not moving. I made a motion at him to try to get him to move so that I could move the rocks without harming him, but he did not move. I then pushed him and he just fell over and was limp. Panicing I reached in and picked up the lifeless crab and held him in my hands sad at my apparent loss when I noticed something.

My apparent loss had no insides.

My crab molted and I was mourning his "shed skin"

My fiddler is currently alive, well, and very happy wandering the tank, and I will never live this one down lol.

buahahhahahahhahhah good one but I have fallen for that for sure

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
I did the same thing a month ago when my 1st crayfish moulted roflmao!!
God, I was so upset. Just stood there staring at his lifeless body thinking what a cool creature he'd been and how attached I'd gotten to him. I reach in to take out my beloved crayfish and this big.....THING comes charging me with arms up in the air lmao! I'm so stupid, my 1st thought is "Somehow a strange crayfish got in the tank and ate my pet cray!" :ROFL::screwy: Took me a bit to realize he'd moulted.
Me and you can sit on the Dumber Than Stumps Bench lol

Bwahahaha, I've done that before. I did that with one of my favorite crayfish in the beginning of my cray-keeping. I was in tears, I didn't know what had happened to her and then I saw her climbing around in the plants... xD

It happens to everyone.

I was so sad on dave's first molt.
