:irked: This new thread is about me, 20's, first and worst purchase decision ever made through the internet regarding fish.:screwy: After recieving lax and poor information from the source I was buying this "mistake" from (not to mention any names...Fish Room Plus) Initially I was told by a "source" that the fish would live fine in a 75 gallon and that it would grow 40". Waait...What!? (my comments exactly) :nilly:

With bid already placed:confused: I had to order the thing or risk future

Problems....

Today is the day Im supposed to recieve this little monster. I have recently upraded my tank to a 125 gallon aquarium...Thats the largest home within the next 2-4 years that I will be able to have. :D

This is a thread dedicated to the potential life and death of this fish...maybe il even throw in pictures!! :WHOA:

So place your bets, take tabs, and ask questions cause this is dedicated to "my mistake"...

Now who can guess how long this fish will live??????:naughty:

If that was the info given then yes you were missled, but you should know that many people on here buy fish from the sellar you mention. He's a good sellar, but should not misslead people of course. He gets many many fish that without him would be nearly impossible for us to find. Unless we can find someone in asia that has owned this fish for 3+ years it will be hard to tell how large they can get, but 40" is a definite possibility. Many people have reported rtcs to grow to 36" in less than 3 years. And many people have grown Marble cats to 30" in the same time frame. This would suggest to me that they get huge in a hurry. Many people on here have had some problems with this fish not living very long also. So be weary of potential health issues that could arise. I'd say just be prepared for it to come in sick as many believe they are comming in like that. Hope this helps.

First off I want to say that this thread is getting closed probably sooner than you would like. Second...this fish will survive and thrive in a 75 or 125 for over a year...enjoy it while you have it and see if there is someone else on MFK that may want it! Simply get what you paid for it. Good luck with the RTC X Marble!

Chris

Relax bro ... it's gonna be okay! :D

Either you can sell / give away the fish when it gets too big or you have an excuse to get a bigger tank.

How much did you pay for him and how big is the little monster at present?

This thread is supposed to serve as the most direct tool for teaching people and sharing information on this rare type of hybrid. Ive searched the internet and have come up with vague guesses:confused: and lacking maintenance sheets for this fish. I dont really care about the sellers preferance among MFK users...im not going to lie its a EXCELLENT seller...but im not going to deny he did tell me that the fish would live in a 125 for life after living in a 75 gallon....so :chillpill:

Havent gotten home to see him yet my brother is watching over the house until i get back...cant wait to see him...(this should let you know how fresh this thread will be)

There ya go...people that will take him off your hands so you can stop your *****in!

Hey I want to know of anyone else who owns this fish and how big has it gotten so far? are there any legendary 6 footers out their?

well, if you search this forum, you will find alot on them, and wouldnt have to start a new thread to have the people come and post about them yet again, more then likely, not many will post with their experience with this fish. Search the forum, you'll be amazed by what you will find out about these fish on here. You'll even find pictures of 2 big ones someone has kept.

Yeah, still havent seen it...i dont have the time to go diving through forums...heres the new one....im doing it right this time so all the facts will be in one place...(hopefully with pictures) and stop hating...im feeling some intence issues from you negative posters...go somewhere...try outside...
