Who is going to waste their time reposting something they have already posted? and for someone who tried to call a good seller a lier?

If you were really all about your new fish.... you would do the searching... its not very hard to type in rtc x marble... and then read.... The facts are pretty much in ONE thread already... Just look for it. The time you wasted to type all you wanted to type you could of found it all and read it.

Also you wouldnt be getting this "HATING" if you didnt start off bad in this forum. Good luck with your new fish... Hope everything works out.

if he is a good seller then why did he post his "lie" in the first place...the difference between you and me is that im defending what is fact he qouted himself...go check...ive searched and found conflicting info...so I want to find out for myself...so anyone who is interested in getting in on this as well as any other catfish info let me know....just post

Ok, so you dont have time to "go diving through forums", but you have time to ***** about this awesome fish you bought? What you should have done is "go diving through forums" before you bought the RTC X Marble. Oh, and I would go outside, but I'd rather not get drenched! Have a great day!

Chris

Or just ask the "respected" seller that told me it could live in a 75 gallon in the first place....no wait...I DID ask him...i dont really care about that anymore since i paid for the fish...its "awsome" yes...il enjoy raising it properly with my other fish that are bridging on to the double didgit lifespans...i have been raising fish since i was 5...i know how to search...trust me...I have more than the means to throw money at buying a MASSIVE tank for the little guy...what I dont understand is why you two are harrassing me over a forum, that if you trully find annoying it exists, find time to post comments??? (Ps...i dont hate the fish just the people who harrass me about it)

Really they need to...you see a person tries to do something positive and tell the truth as far as his experiences go and this is what happens...well i would like to continue if they let me...but hey youll just find me somewhere else then...check out my plans for a 1700 gallon dream tank if you will...i can draw you up your dream tank 2 just for fun....just let me know

So how would I go about this without dealing with these two annoying know-it-alls gritting on every word I say....???

RTC's grow very fast... at least for the first year or so and then normally slow down as long as your not "power feeding" them. (something to be avoided IMO.) You have a minimium of 2 years before tank size becomes an issue.

I reciently picked up one of these facinating hybrids and have learned a few things about them along the way. They are susecptable to stress and shipping seems to trigger this. They calm down on thier own so don't start medicating them as soon as you see heavy breathing....especially with copper based meds. Thats a sure way to kill them.

I've yet to see pictures of....or read accounts of....these fish as adults so until we REALLY know how big they get or how fast they grow a lot of this information is guesswork.

Just assume that the fish will be a big one and take steps to care for it properly as it grows. I know my wife and I got a LOT of flack about buying our TSN. The fish is happy...healthy and we adjusted our plans for future housing accordingly...including a 4 foot wide tank for when he outgrows our 240.

Individual fish vary in size and growth rates. I know of RTC's that have lived for over 14 years in tanks smaller than 300 gallons. Far less cruel that the thousands killed each year by inexpieranced fishkeepers.

Until we know a lot more about this fairly new hybrid I think it's wrong to slam the seller's information. I see so many fish traded...and sold here on MFK that it's difficult to imagine anyone actully keeping one of them long enough to be a problem.

Thankz for the real information...ive seen guesses ranging from 16" to 6' thats a huge gap. Personally I have only see the little guys 6" and under and one 12" so Il keep you all posted with some pics when I get home...thankz again for turning this into a POSITIVE direction...

For anyone who thinks I hate this seller your wrong...its a great seller....prob is that he said what he said and I cant be accounted for what came out of his mouth...
