I don't know about that...if that is the case where are they?? I have heard that they are a cheap brown ray so most did not live very long since beginners bought them, but if that is the case there should be some. Before Pedro brought some in there were only a few, Big dave, brent, and maybe a couple others.

They don't seem to delicate, not much different that a motoro. It just does not make sense
 
Very true. I had a bunch before and I never kept them alive. i always kept them with the wrong fish. Didn't know much better and or care. So I lost a bunch. Motoros were hardier
 
Looks great! i picked up a bunch of the larger hystrix as well!! A few females in my group all larger like your new one. they really surprised me as well. Very cool rays and by far the coolest brown ray IMO too. Yours has the best color I have seen yet. I went and picked mine up at aquascape and there were quite a few and yours still has the strongest patterns
