Nice mate. Are zonatum very rare? There is a really nice one about 7 inches with huge trailers on its fins at a crappy little lfs near me mislabled as a blackbelt. Its selling for AUS $70 which is about average price for a store bought fish of that size around here.. Worth it?

Zonatum aren't rare just not common to find in a LFS. Though different areas of the world means that a Zonatum could be rare in your area. An average 7" Zonatum in a LFS around here is about $40-$50 USD.

See if you can bargain with them. Maybe get it down a bit. I believe I paid $18.99 for her at 4".

She looks great, thanks for shring. Just picked up my zonatus today actually from Ken Davis (fishfarm). Here he/she is. Probably too young to sex right now right?

Yeah your Zonatus is tiny. Actually looks like a Juvi Hartwegi because of the destinct lateral line as it is not a blotch extending back.

Way to young to sex. How big is it.

Really small, probably only about 1.25" no bigger than 1.5"
