My Festae is showing off to my Trimac.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Me three. It says my festae is showing off to my trimac. There is absolutely no festae in the pic or a trimac. Thats a pic of a low grade flowerhorn female. This thread makes no sense.

I think he is speculating as to what this cross would look like if he were to let it happen. These are pictures of suposed Trimac X Festae crosses taken from the internet. Could be (?). Often, the problem with these kinds of pictures is that even the owner of the fish doesn't actually know for sure who the parents are and is simply speculating based on what he sees in the fish. And when it comes to crossbreeds, often it is difficult to be certain what both parents are unless we have actually crossed the fish ourselfs.......all of us tend to see different fishes in a hybrid. About the only thing certain with these 2 fish is that they have Trimac in them, probably of flowerhorn origin.

Just to give an example of the kinds of speculation, we have a thread in the hybrid section of "all the hybrids on MFK" and there are pictures of blue acaras, nics, and spilirum ect. with the claim that they are some type of cross, not to mention numerous kinds of CA hybrids with a claim of them being this or that, even though the parents are completely unknown by the person making the claim.

I noticed that my Festae was showing off yesterday for my female Trimac and I thought to myself... what would the offspring look like?? I'am not going to let it happen as I prefer Festae and Trimacs as they each are, however I was curious to see what one looked like so I googled it. The pics on this thread are what I found. Sorry if I confused anyone, but I was just curious is all and wanted to share my curiosity with others. Maybe it should have went into the hybrid section, no??

This is what the owner said regarding this fish... "here she is in breeding dress. i think she has alot of red terror blood in her?"
Now, I'm not saying I know exactly what is in this fish, so again I'm sorry for the confusion, but this is what I got as a Festae / Trimac cross.

Me too.

Anthony why did you post random pics of someone elses Flowerhorn on a thread about your Festae and Trimac?

He posted the pic of a "Trimac x Festae hybrid" to show what would come out of his festae showing off to his trimac. But the picture he posted is a female flowerhorn in breeding dress, not a festae hybrid.

This is a festae/flowerhorn hybrid
