I HAVE 2 growing in a 240gal and im wordering the same when do they start getting their adult color
Yes around 4-5" you'll definitely start seeing changes in your females
you should start seeing it in your males around 3.5-4"
Nice Festae! Yours dont show any fin or body spangling or red on the tail? mine seem smaller and have more pronounced colors. Is it typical for them to get there color earlier or later?
2 of mine have body spangling and are about half the size of my thumb and they all had fin spangling since i got them at an inch. Could be just a fish to fish thing but I've heard the body spangling is a male thing.
Thats true I had mine in a black background and black sand awhile ago and they looked much better.
Yes the black Substrate and background brings out the color in them. I has mines in with white substrate and a light color background before....and they looked just like yours. Then moved them to the new tank with the dark stuff and they colored up nicely !
