My figure 8 puffer eating a crawdad I caught for him

Depends on the waterways but I found a good lake down the road, theres a few in nearly every waterway but some have lots, I pick them out at night when they're not hiding.
 
Puffers are awesome, I had two prior to this guy but they were the green spotted from walmart and I was never able to keep one alive longer than 3 months and I felt like I did my research. But this guy is a figure 8, a lot of the pet supermarkets around here just started stocking them, from what I've read they're much hardier than the GSP's and don't require as much care (smaller tank, lower salinity, greater tolerance, less aggressive) so I picked one up and he's doing great.
