i just noticed it a few moments ago, it's definitely not turning on. it's too late to go out and get a new one (almost 11pm).

how long can it go without a filter? i did a 30% water change earlier in the day and it's a 10 gallon tank. it's well planted and right now it's a bit over stocked with minnows and small goldfish that were going to be fed to my predators in the other tank throughout the week.

gld fish? just do Wc in intervals.

btw what kind of filter is it?

well depends what kind of filter u have but if u have a filter that has a large bio capacity then just let that portion float around in the tank it should be fine...,
if u can make a current with a powerhead or somthing like that it would b even better especially if u could adjust the flow to make alot of bubbles cuz the bacteria will get air from that

it's an aqueon 10. i stuffed some extra foam media in the filter. i didn't think the single sheet filter cartridge would be enough.

thanks for your quick replies everyone!

im guessing they are cartidges? you just float them in another tank near a power head to keep most of the bb alive.
