My Fire Eel Seems to be have a very seriouse problem... Help

My Fire Eel Seems to be have a very serious problem... Help :eek:
I just noticed this couple of days ago, it seems like a nasty infection in its anus, or some sort of a tumor...
I added Salt to the water to aid its healing but it looks too nasty & its not getting any better nor it is getting worse...
What could it be?
What can I do to help my Fire Eel?

could he have sut it on something ? i would possibley throw in quorintine and treat with anti fungle med remeber 1/2 dose though. Is he eating ? tank size ?
 
looks like a prolapsed rectum to me.. sadly most fish do not survive this.. it's often caused by IP's. I'm not 100% sure if that IS the case so useing antibiotics woudl deffinately help here. It is also a possibility ( and I surmise why serverum asked what your stock was) that something is attacking him.... imo the pleco is the most liekly culprit here as the rest of your stock generally doesn't do this ( cichlids are big for attacking other fishes butts) BUt plecos will generally go for the side of fish, not the anus. You may also try using prazi-pro or similar worming meds. GL

I'm arranging to quarantine it & treat it with all possible treatment...
I'm thinking iodine on the spot of infection every other day & Fungal Treatment mainly

That is not good :(
I'll get rid of the hideous pleco... as it is an opportunistic & every now & then he tries to suck on the sides of the Aro & Gar...
But I don't think it is the one responsible for that huge & nasty thing on the bottom of the Fire Eel...
 
Gl with your Eel.. and if your pleco is already going after the arrow and gar I would get it out asap. Be careful with meds. spineys are pretty sensitive to them ime, I'de take any treatments nice and slow and start off w/ 1/2 doses and work up from there.
