They're not actually all that large yet...the two males are about 3" max. There's four of them - I'm starting to think two males and two females - in a 33gal. I'm hoping they'll pair off eventually so I can get a breeding pair out of the group. As for food, they just get colour enhancing flakes, Nutrafin or Tetra or something. Nothing special.

Those guys have rad color, how old are they?
 
Not sure how old they are. They were about 1.5" when I got them...so how old do you think that would make them?
 
depends on how they were kept. I noticed mine got big quite quickly when i did good weekly water changes and the occaisional live or pealed shrimp. So a 1.5" might be about 3-4 months.
The last 1 I had was a seriously colorful male and @ about 6-7" had some nice long fins. So mad but happy ($$) I sold him.
Might have to get back into breeding those as well.

How big do FM get?
 
They average at about 6" full grown.

Well, I've had these guys for about 3 or 4 months, so we'll say they're just over half a year old.
