beautiful MFKin arowana mate definately worth every AUD:headbang2

thanks everyone

i realise that it may seem really expensive but it was a good price here in AUS and i think it worth every cent

ill keep you all updated

Wow!! 300AUD?
that's too expensive.
Silver are the cheapest aro.
Silver AUD100 selling in malaysia lol.
So i think ur ppl have to learn breeding aro....since its not allow to import.
Can make $$$. LOL.

well there you go..i live near you!

there are no wild populations of silvers or asians in oz.
if there was they would be poached god speed.
going by the prices jars go for overseas they probably arent even all sourced from oz anymore. i think they are naturally found in the countries just north of us.
i had heard of a guy that was breeding jars and sending OS and then his buyers got onto another supply from another country for dirt cheap. i also know a famer here that still produces jars in QLD and he started selling them at 25 bucks many years ago. now its more like 40 AU per peice.

i know the prices here. silver/ greens from 300 to 1000AU.
RTG 3200 AU for a juvenile. 6k for a bog one.
6-10000 for a red depending on size and quality.

these are the rough prices on all juvenile arowana's here in aus

Leichart - $50-$100

Jardini - $100

Silver - $300-$350

Green- $550-$650

Rtg - $2.2k-3.5k

Chilli Red - 6k

Blue Base Cross Back - 7k+

these are the prices for specimens 10cm-20cm...now if they were breed that will be a whole different story!

Realy nice , bit ver priced IMO , i am getting a 5 - 6inch one for £27.99 .

Thats a really good buy - $250 is the cheapest Ive heard for a silver. I paid $450 for mine some 6 months back, paid extra because it had better colouration than the others.

I find that the bargains which are brought for $250 to $300 are the ones the LFS reject. The LFS charge alot but they source the best (most times).
