A beauty. i wanted a jar too but opted for a silver. Try varying his meals. Mines just 7" and i feed him 3 times a day. dried prawn in the morning, crickets at lunch and a feeder fish at night.

gratz on your new aro! make sure you have a TIGHT LID ON YOUR TANK. 
so it wont jump out and die. dont underestimate these guys cause they can jump through small cracks in your hood. (i had a crack and i found him crispy the next day). dont feed feeders and just feed it what you are currently feeding right now.
