Great fish I'm VERY happy and he got along really well riht from the start, amazingly well , was easiest fish i've ever had to deal , swam out of the bag guided by hand into the tank , Oscar flared and put on a show for an hour or so maybe, then lost all intrest since the aro just ignored him didnt fight back, didnt run away, now the 2 (as well as my big male endli bichir) are all all were swimming together when i went down 30 min ago for lights out.

I think I have seen this somewhere earlier today....lol
Anything he wants! Main diet will be pellets, meal worms and shrimp and tilapia, this is the staple for the tank,
I also mix in other feeder items, different pellet food, different insects crickets/mealworms/super worms (working on getting another cockroach colony) , I also mix in other “seafood” scallops, smelt, silver sides, you name it whatever I notice on sale and chop up just to keep things interesting.
I also use that tank to rid myself of extra mbuna (I have a 160 mbuna tank packed they breed like crazy) and convicts I have a couple 33 g’s running with breeding convicts and they get tossed in as treat’s/ exercise for the others!
All my fish readily eat just about anything offered since I mix it up nonstop if they show too much preference to one food type I’ll stop feeding it and use it as a treat only, to make sure they don’t get picky.
