My first attempt as a DIYer. MY 3d background construction.

I got the first layer of colored sealant on the two "rocks" I made from that ball. I forgot to take pictures before I painted but oh well. Here are a few pictures of them with the first coat.

I used the big knife for my large scale trimmings. I used the spoon (both ends) to get the main flow of the lines, and the proper depth I wanted. Then I came through with the smaller knife for the more detailed parts, and the roughing up of my main lines.

How are these boulder going to be secured? Being of styro, won't they float?

like i didnt measure the tank when i got it from the lady that had it before me. she said she measured everything out and it was a 150gal. not a 125.

Oh, and for those looking for an update; I'm sorry It's been slow. The Army + school = I'm a little behind. I hope to make some progress tonight though.
