The other thing I've found is that there is a lot more "playing' in the sand...moving it, rolling in it, sifting it, rather than gravel. Seems like the fish really like it better too.

That's one of the best reasons to have it. I love watching them play in the sand, mine will pick it up and go to the top of the tank and spit it out. I think they just like seeing it go everywhere. I believe they feel more comfortable having sand as the substrate.:nilly:

Agreed...and watching them aquascape the tank to their own liking is a lot of fun too. Seems like every day it's different.

It is even more fun to mess up the sand, and watch them go right back to work.

That's messed up Mike...
My male gold ocellatus will bury all the shells in the tank so no other shellie can have it......:grinno:

Well, I changed my 90 over to sand on Friday...Well, it is actually argonite that looks like sand. It is looking good now but there were some moments of panic. I washed this stuff, I thought very well but it came out horribly milky in my tank. Here is the milky pic from Friday and then a couple shots from today.

Looks really good Bre, cleared up nicely. You have quite the hand at aquascaping...nice job.
