You can not wait untill they reach seven inches. You either need to upgrade in the very near future and return the suggested fish. Your angels may also be nipping at your clam. You need live rock and a decent powerhead.
Sorry for the rude response if you took it that way..
You need all of those fish in that 180 RIGHT AWAY besides a few of the little ones..
You AMMONIA is gonna spike so high all the fish will die!!!!!
And yes you need some more live rock unless you have a huge sump full of cycled BIO balls to break down the ammonia from all the fish poo...
And as for the clam
I have a few of them and mine opened up within 10 mins of putting them in the tank..
Calms are very touchy to water quality...
yeah sorry man you have some GORGEOUS fish there but they are way overcrowded in that 60g, if they are going to stay in that tank i would get rid of all but the smaller fish and keep one of the tangs for a bigger fish (probably the yellow tang since they stay smaller than the others) and you need to get ALOT of live rock in there (at LEAST 1lb per gal but this is really a bare minimum guideline escpecially with bigger tanks) sounds like you have the right lighting for the clam with the MH (lighting a tall tank can be tricky though) when was the last time you tested your water and what were the results?
Oh and great clean up crew is always a great help as well
i would be changing my local fish supplier, any one who sold that assortment of fish for that size tank seen ya walk through the door and took advantage.Find yourself a supplier who is actually interested in the hobby and not just there to lighten your wallet,Hang in there though, good luck CHEERS vito
I have to agree with Mr.Reef and Mytee. This tank will go down hill really fast. It need's upgrading immediately. Other than that you got some nice fish. Just get them in a bigger tank as soon as possible.
