Or you can save on materials and use a basement corner like I did and use your existing basement walls and floors.

Its weird that every one on internet is so against this idea. I mean I know that people on the internet are angry and get to say what they want with little to no repercussions, but it was unnerving hearing it will leak guaranteed!

I think people are just preparing you for the fact that it might leak, as many large tank builds like this do. You may even find a thread on here from a member who built a huge 4500? gallon tank that he never finished, even with meticulous planning.

I've never tried it, but I think it can be done. If I ever get into a house with a basement I will be trying it for sure, although not the salt part.

dont think I can build off walls, they are cinderblock. My tank and house would explode!~ lol I am going to build this strong though. I soruced my wood now its time to order~!
