My first betta

I have the opposite question pretty much- I have 2 panda corys (looking at getting more but the store only had 2 because they were on sale so we'll have to wait for a shipment) and i want to put a male betta with them. we have a 10 gal and plan on having 4 corys and 1 male betta, will this work? I would appreciate any feedback! thanks guys!
