Please post some pics of that lucky senegal of urs.. Congrats for the new addiction.. They are strange for they change color from white to light black according to ur substrate color. I find it weird, what do you think ann, and cohazard? Is it plausible to breed a pure black senegal thru selective breeding? Or all green? Makes me wonder

More than possible, it's already been done by nature and by farming, but we don't have any 'strains' being massively produced and exported to the united states. It's one of my goals to breed polypterus, and long term, produce something unique color/pattern.
I've seen melanistic senegalus, and I've also seen very very very green bichir bichir, moke, lap, delhezi, etc...
It would be nice to see some concentrated effort to develop these two colors for the aquarium trade.
