My first big amazon catfish: leiarius Marmoratus

sold him today. he was close to 15" when I measured him. He went to a good home and is now in an 800 gallon pond. Not sure how I feel because I always used to think achara's were the coolest catfish but this guy was a huge bore and not really worth the extra effort.

Excellent. I hold a weak hope that the new owner is an MFK-er and will continue this thread or start their own on this fish.

I had 5 of them, from 1.5' to 2'+ in a 4000 gal. They hid out of sight 95% of the day time... and that pond was in a basement, dimly lit during the day and barely lit at night. That's why I kept bringing up the lighting. They are cool cats, just not day-time-action cool.

they are pretty but boring imo. The new owner is an mfk member by the username delpapabear.

I've had both of those cats and loved them. I think you may enjoy the giraffe more as they are more active.
