Haven't really done much to the tank since I last posted, but I finally got the new Odyssea 700CFS canister filter installed. This filter is pretty awesome! This thing is rated at 700gph, and I believe that is pretty much what its pushing. Notice the difference, in water clarity, in just a couple of hours. Most of the fish are not really digging the extra current flow. I'm guessing between the 3 filters, I'm pushing well over 1000gph easily.....my goal is at least 6X turnover rate....I'm well over that

I held off doing any of the recommended modifications I've read on reviews, and so far, no leaks at all. Temp is now powered by 250w Aqueon Pro(X2) and a 300w Jager, all hooked up to a Finnex temp controller.
I haven't added the pool filter sand yet, but I did gathered up a few large rocks, purchased a few pieces of drift wood and plastic plants for the aquascape. Water has been a bit yellow/brown tint due to the new driftwood, so I'll just have to wait that out.
Fishes are growing nicely, especially the synspilum and bocourti. Everybodys' colors are popping out and have a nice, solid girth. There doesn't seem to be an alpha in the tank yet, just a little chasing here and there. The picture of the tank was taken right after the water change, so all the fish were all cowering at the back and bottom of the tank.
Wasn't paying close attention and ended up overflowing the tank during my water change tonight. Good thing the tank is in an unfinished basement. Total brain fart!
