So (rounded up) about 1000kg of water on a base area of about 2m squared. Will have to check if the dam floor will take this lol

sounds awesome, and the 8' tank may allow you to put your filters at either end, seen as they cant be stored underneath. Will talk to you bout it this weekend.

Righty here are some more photos of the shelf from better angles and several photos of the current bracing inside the shelf. Baring in mind the diagonal are covered up timber framing from the roof of the house i doubt they'll be weak.
