why cant you edit the title when you try to edit?...that should be "first"

been looking it to catfish for some time and i love the look of the larger guys.

well i was in a LFS recently and i came across Midnight catfish...or "Zamora woodcats"

to me they look allot like the larger guys and only reach about 5 inches^_^

i picked up two for my 40 gallon tall..that is being upgraded to a 70 tall next month when i get the stand built. might get another.

they are shy at fist but today was the first day they came out and stayed out for a while ...sooo cute^_^ enjoy!

they are just a little over an inch at the moment.

larger of the two

smaller of the two.

Wow nice find, never seen them bfore. Wht kind of fish is in pic 2 ? (wresting with its head on rock)

thank you^_^

those are steatocranus tinanti..i have 6 wild caught in the tank
one of the females

my large dominate male...they are so cute and fully communal..they yell and push at each other than pile together a few times a day and bounce around and rub on each other...awesome little bottom dwellers they are such clowns...but camera shy so its hard to get good pics of them.

bump love for the tiny guys? :P oh well they are adorable to me...

still cant get a mod to fix the tittle though...grr

I miss having them in my tank, I had no choice but give them away due to my L264s during that time beating the crap out of them.

If you want to get a smaller looking one, try honey comb catfish. I have one in my fry tank and they max out to 2.5. They look the same as the wood cat just with a yellow and black honeycomb pattern.

the zamoras are more active compared to the honeycomb. The zamoras you will see very frequently patrolling the tanks. They're too cool. The honeycombs I have had too Just sold my last group last month was just so awesome to own however they would hide if not out for food.

very cool, i got 3 about a month ago, but the thing is mine hide all day and play all night lol.
i have my lights on for a few hours a day. at night i like to check on my fish so i grab a
flashlight and shine the tank and as soon as i spot them, they "run" for cover.
