Hi,

advise was given, but not heard to !
Not all fish are the same, some freewater hunters or riverine species may be ok in such a bare tank, but not a species liek P. obscura !

The only one that needs spanking is the one that is beratungsresistent

Show me where this so called advice is.

Oh my god.....

Did you use your brain, before buying that snakehead....??????

I think you did not!!!

Parachanna obscura likes to hide in plants and driftwood.....I cannot see any in these so called Aquarium....

It is a fish soup...with no structure!

I hope the obscura will be eaten by the Arowana fast.....then it do not have to suffer any longer....

This is a really good example for a NO GO Tank!

poor fish!

Pascal

Nope. Only a smidging here.

Hiding place ? what

Fail again.

The Jardini will destroy the snakehead, and probably everything in the tank.

Bad move. Poor fish.

Getting better. Probably best advice in this thread.

nah not angry.. busting balls... you really should get some driftwood n crap... obviously with as many tanks as you claim to have you must know fish have personalities and are pretty intelligent.. just a really sad sight...

thats probably not a growout either... lol everyones excuse... just a growout guy.. swear. lmao

sorta.

This so called advice sure doesn't seem all that helpful to me. It seems more like pure criticism than anything constructive. If this is what is considered as helpful 'advice' you guys should start thinking outside the box and try a different approach. There might be a lot of knowledge there to be offered, but if you can't present it in a useful manner, its worthless.

If you're not able to do the whole tank with lots of hiding spots, maybe try doing one end of the tank with lots of plants (real or fake) as well as some driftwood, this would make the snakehead more comfortable, or maybe consider getting a species of snakehead more apt to living in a more open water environment such as an emperor (channa marulioides) instead. I have a blue emperor living with other like size fish and although he does have hiding areas and plants to utilize he tends to be out in the open most of the time.

Ironically there has be some actual advice before someone can be considered stubborn or resistant to advice. So no, its not good.

aidenb ~ Thanks for actually being helpful and contributing to this thread! :headbang2

sir could u kindly close this thread? first time i've encountered this kind of comments here but i take it positively. even using dialects of which i have no idea of. anyways i think enough is said. would be installing glass partitions tomorrow but won't take pics anymore. perhaps the house spider hangin out at the back of my tank would still be criticized if caught in the shot. thanks for viewing everyone. lessons learned.
