My first Cichla! (Finally...)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they translate to roughly needing an 11,800 gallon tank in 2 years.I hope ya got it handy

ya figure 1 bass is good in a 180 "freely" and I counted about 10-11 fish. But I think 3 would still be fine in a 180,of course others would disagree......so say 2 tops.......need lots of gallons.hmmmm.......I guess I should start building my bass' home soon also:headbang2they look freakin awesome like that though. Its like a giant pack of gangsta fish

Very nice monos! What are your plans for them all?
Gonna see how it goes. Depending on how big my upgrade tank will be, will see how many I can accomodate. Not looking to keep more then 2-3 mono's. Will trade the rest for other fish once these hit 6-8".

whoa-ya got enough of them?
Lol yip, I wanted 2-3 mono's, but cichla are hard to get here. So figured better to buy them all then grow them out and trade with other people who want cichla too

The 5x2 has 7 silver dollars 4-7", 11 x clown loaches 3-7" and one flagtail about 5". For the moment they all have ample space. When the bass need more room I'll move some fish into other tanks. There won't be any overcrowding don't worry dude :naughty:

very nice but picture number 4 does not look like mono u might have a more nicer one then that woohoo gl

Good looking school of cichla. Love the monos.
