What makes it a 'true' microlepis??

There are two distinct variants of the Datnioides microlepis, and this is the better known and better looking one.

Only I call it "true", no one else does.

he was 22$. i put in some feeders that ive had for a few weeks and it ate one of the minnows.

yea, it was only 22$. ive been thinkin about pickin up another one. this one doesnt hide much and when the other fish are eatin pellets, he swims up to the top to look for food but doesnt see pellets as food yet.

He'll learn that pellets = food! I still think $22 is a good price for him. Were I live, easy $55.00 and more for that type of fish.
