My first DIY acrylic tank!

Yeah, isn't that how things should be done most times? ;)

I didn't flame polish anything this go-round and I did not have any crackling where I applied the WeldOn.

I also tried my hand at using my flush cut bit on the edges that stuck out a bit and I don't think I'll try that again. It leaves a very sharp edge (I cut myself on the acrylic) and it shaves just a tad off of the flush edge that could be buffed out but I'd rater just have a slight (1/32) overlap of the edges.

Next purchase (after the corner clamps) is a sheet of Acrylite FF 3/8" continuous cast clear...

Oh yeah, forgot to add that with this tank (12" high and 17" long) I had about 3/16th an inch of total bowing (so 3/32th each side) in the center with extruded/continuous cast 1/4".

Looks like building a larger tank is on hold until I can justify almost $300 for a sheet of 3/8" cell cast acrylic.

Has anyone found much cheaper?

Seems like with acrylic to get the most bang for you buck would to go huge, like 1/2" 600 gallon.
