i can get small ones for 20 dollers. just a heads up they are very fragile while they are young. prone to getting parisites and disease as there genes are weak. i was told to feed them parisite killing food on a regular basis as with other foods. the parisite food should warn off any intuding parrisites.
It will take awhile for it to get up to 5" for sure. They seem to be one of the slowest growing cichlids around. At least the slowest of the ones that get over 5".
