My first gars: Spotted/Floridas

Whut up man! Good to hear the GT has a great home!

I bet it's huuuge by now I'm still not able to get these gars to take shrimp, but they've started taking blood worms. Hopefully if I keep trying they'll take pellets

The first day I brought mine home, he took it. They are fairly easy. I used a metal coat hanger and made it as straight as possible. I used that to let the Gar smell the pc of market shrimp and he took it quick. I still chop my shrimp up and let everyone feast

this method of feeding works the best for me as well. use any straight thin object and put a shrimp or whatever on the end of it. put it in front of the gar and they will usually take it. i have gotten my last three gar on shrimp in one night using this method.

nice gar! cool trident tattoo on its head.too bad in the philippines the common gars @ lfs are alli gars. in fact, i havent seen any other type of gar being sold here.
