I would love nothing more than to do this in my formal living room with an 8x10x3 foot pond. I think it would be epic. But then I'd get some kind of divorce paper from my husband and my mother would behead me with her battle axe(who says the handicapped can't defend themselves). Awesome job man, def gonna have to keep that filter design in mind for when i have room for a pond in my house. I read all 21 pages of this thread, and I must say, your rtc is a beauty.

I've never had a pond that size and I have a question. You spent all that time cycling the water then drained it? Didn't that defeat the cycling?
Nope. Almost no beneficial bacteria are in the water, they all live on surfaces such as filter media and gravel.
The water was terrible. Over 200ppm nitrate. No way I would put my beloved Sally in that toxic soup. lol
