My first ghetto pond.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
On ebay mate. Search "framed pool". It should come up.

Quick update!
Sally is safe and well in her pond, and has been for a while. I've just been too busy (and lazy) to update the thread.
She wont be so comfy at home for very long though, shes got a big adventure ahead of her soon.

Stay tuned..

I suggest you put a table on the side and put the filter cabinet on top the table, that way your filter cabinet doesn't eat into the pond space.

Sally is a beautiful RTC! It makes me smile to see this instead of all the RTC "I didn't do my research, now I have to get rid of my fish" stories! SOOOOOO sorry about the flood and everything you lost. Best wishes and good luck on getting her new home up and running again!!!!

Its been quite a while, time for an update!
Sadly Sally hasnt been on her adventure yet.
The adventure in question is for her to road trip 1000 miles down the coast of Australia to join me in Melbourne. I moved down here in May with my partner and some of my other fish which was stressful enough, so we decided to wait to bring the big girl down.
And im still waiting... =(
Hopefully by November we'll have everything organised to get her here, until then I'll make do with my monthly to 6-weekly visits.
Its amazing how much you can miss a fish lol

Nice pond project. It's a shame that flood did what it did. Good luck with the new project. Since you're remaking the pond I'd recommend much larger dimensions so you don't have to deal with upgrading again in the future. ;)

Oh, and everyone commenting on the filter idea should check out CHOMPERS original thread on the drawer w/d sump. I used the same design for my last 125g I just traded. (I believe OP even said they got the idea from a fellow member, which was most likely CHOMPERS)
