So I think it's some kind of Lepidiolamprologus... but I have no clue and s/he's just been hanging out in my tang tank growing and getting more colorful. Kind of a cool fish, but it doesn't really fit with the others. Anyone know what it is, and does anyone want it? If you're in the Washington area I'll gladly give him/her to a good home.

Is it rare or anything? I really dunno anything about it except that it's got some serious chompers and is more of a bottom dweller.

Looks like a Telmatochromis variant as well..

Please show me the variant that you have in mind. I am not trying to be cheeky, but it pisses me off when people don't even bother to go through the references that I've put up to have a look and they just throw something out there.

Well, it could be a rocket into space, but I don't have the entire time in the world to research the damn thing and find a similarity between a rocket and the fish described here.

So please, post something that I can use.

The only Telmatochromis specie that I could find to look even remotely similar to this, was the "Dhonti"

Now, I took the patience to look into it, and my position is final, Lamprologus Callipterus Isanga, shell dweller.

"Pisses me off" might have been a little harsh... :grinno:

Nope, not a Dhonti, Callipterus for sure. Check the spot on the gill, the blue speckles on the face.

Thanks for the pictures
