I tried to play that game one time. It only worked out a little bit longer than you. I'd still like to get one and pair it with some polys and a Hoplias sp.
 
Put him on the classifieds last night! Had four replys this morning, guy is coming up in a few hours giving me 8inch iridecant pangasius, 8inch scat, 5 inch red spot severum, and a 5inch red texas! Sad to see him go really, think I need a black aro!-)
 
I got one just 3 days ago at around the same size (37cm) and I'm a bit worried about him as a black shark and oscar, both around 24cm are picking on him :(

Don't they ALL go "Jar-Krazy" and start splitting fins sooner or later? Hardly ever see a large one in an community environment. Only see them TEMPORARILY in one before 12".
 
nice! beware of your jar with tankmates cuzs the aro might kill them all!
