My first large tank (90gal)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi,first of all I just wanna say something.Yahoo Answers Would probably be the worst place to ask about pets/fish.Lots of trollers and people who just post crap for 2 points.

Anyway,I see that all of your option has Oscar in it:headbang2.
Option 3 is out of the question like others already stated.

May I suggest for option1,you add the clown loaches at the early stages and get an Oscar when they grow.
Having a peaceful/shoaling species would be easier if you add them first in the tank. Rather than be added later(and get harassed)

For option 2, many people see convicts as common fish so they may overlooked this option. But I really like them, especially pink convicts.
I would go with option 2 if I had a 90 gal myself.

Option 3, getting a pair by buying 5-6 of them might a little out of budget for you (as stated in your post). Your hope is choosing a pair and hope that they are male and female:D.
I haven't got luck with this,
my last pair oscar was both male!!
Cant really differentiate as they were too small when I bought them.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I've decided on getting the clown loaches and an oscar.

I've noticed larger Clown Loaches in fish stores seem to always have faded colors. Do their colors fade with age or is it because their living on light colored sand?

CL's colors fade with age but they're still really cool.
