Actually it is better they used it on the bottom, if they had to which they shouldn't have. The top piece takes the most pressure to keep things together. Nice tank and I hope the fix works out for you, can't wait to see it set up. For the price they want to fix it, I'd order the acrylic myself and do the job.
i would have thought the bottom would have the most pressure since it always has water at the seams
glad you got it and not meGL
it took some long thinking and research. i hope it works out in the end. i hope my dad doesnt kill me for bringing a 10 foot tank home
That's pretty impressive that you were able to move that with only 3 people. Those dimensions at 1" thick weighs over 820 lbs! That means each of you were lifting 275 lbs. Looking forward to seeing this beast set up. Is it going in your house, or garage? I've been asking everyone on here with big tanks, how they heat them because I'm worried about how much energy is going to take to heat my 770. Have you thought about how you are going to heat it?
yea i originally had like 9 people lined up to move it but they all started to bail on me at the last minute, so it left me no choice to move it with 3 people. we all go to the gym and work out. it took alot of improvising to get the tank out and to the shop in the end it worked out. the tank is going to be a garage tank. and i think the tank came with atleast 600 watts of heater or more. not too sure.
