Im currently using 2 x 80w T5 Lights.
I was reading on here about those Nan lights.. wonder if i could get them here??

My background is Black (DIY)
Black gravel/pebbles and 3 pieces of drift wood, thats all. I want to maximise swimming space for the fish.

NAN light is just a brand called NAN. It;s a submergble light set. And the pinkih light tube inside is usually called TFC (Taiwan Florecent Company). Anyway, if you believe me, change one of the 80w T5 to a pinksh one the whole tank will not look too flush out.

Set the pink infront and the white behind.

As for maximising the swimming space, I would remove the driftwood instead and just have a good piece at the center of the tank.:)

The setup look good.

Are you using whte lights alone in there? How about trying out an addition od a pinkish looking light tube in there as well. The blend can bring out the look better.;)

I was thinking of doing the same thing on my tank, koji. What kind of bulb would have a pink hue?

Ok...I just saw that koji answered this question above but I can's seem to delete this post.

Sorry people. :footinmou

You can try asking in your local fishshop for advise on which tube is pinkish. They should work. This combination should make your tank look bright yet not too wash out and redness on fish can be enhanced yet the tank look cool white.

Thanks Koji, ill ask my LFS next time im in there..
Hopefully they have a few in stock :)

Nice Aro bro

still wish i had a bigger tank in my room hehe

cant wait to see it in person

yeah most asian arowana's are noctious, though i think the black and red are listed on the grey list and they cost upwards of $5000.00 a pop (ridiculous and not fair). these are amazing looking fish, but out of reach of the majority of aquatic admirers.
