My First Peacock Bass:

Yeah she is fat...always my best eater. When eating she takes a chunk out of her face from the acrylic top. That's one thing I learned I don't like about my acrylic tank-the built in top with the 3 openings. My cichla hit their heads a lot.

The water level has to stay the same in this tank because the water falls down through the top into the outputs.

Its the same with my tank so I unplug the sump pump to drop the water level when I feed and then plug it back in when they're done.

The tank is 300 Gallons. Thanks guys- This fish has always been a good looking fish. I have heard some say the ugly ducklings turn out beautiful, but so far the ones that look good to me when they are little are the ones that are turning out the best when they are bigger!
