i dont think that the filter intake is suppose to be that close tot he substrate

It wasn't too low at first but when I added the substrate it was as you said way too low. I have adjusted it since this picture was taken though.

Yes, I think I'll try dwarf hairgrass first and see if I like the look and don't have any problems. That way I save some money on Co2.
