well its down stairs in my house lifted almost all the wet resin off today its got two fans and two space heaters blowing in around the clock man is my girlfriend pissed about the smell lol

The resin smell will get alot worse once you do another coat of it. I once did some fibreglassing in the house and the smell was over powering until it cured. even then i could still smell it in the house for a couple of days... Make sure you have alot of ventilation or do it in a shed/garage if you have one.

Recommendations:
- Don't glass indoors without serious ventilation.
- Have a tent or garage for outside work in the case of foul weather.
- Know your time lines & check the weather forecast accordingly.

I have to admit, if this was my project, it would be sitting till spring. I live in NY and outside conditions at this time of year would make it impossible to progress from your current level of completion.

i will pay for roomates to go to a hotel here in two weeks and crack out on the whole rest of the tank

I would consider using a laminating epoxy resin with the fiberglass mat/cloth/roving instead of polyester resin. Epoxy resin is solvent free and can be used indoors.

Epoxy has a bad reputation on this and other fish forums but that is because people don't fully understand the differences between epoxy and epoxy paint.

The one caveat here is will epoxy bond to polyester? I'm not 100% sure about that. When in doubt about these things I've always found it best to do a search on various boat building forums. Or call the manufacturer.

Epoxy will be a bit more expensive but probably cheaper than putting the roomates in a hotel. And I think it's much better than the typical polyester resin you buy at hardware stores, etc.

You'll end up with a better final product, save money and you'll be able to work on it indoors during the Nebraska winter.

alright tonight was final fiberglass night i got three layers in the whole thing two extra in the corners. then had a bunch of resin left over so just poured it in the bottom and spread it evenly....cant wait for it to dry so they smell will get out of my house....had a few pockets/bubbles i was concerned about hacked them out as much as possible put extra layers over it and resined the hell out of it

good luck by the way wow u dont beat aruond the bush with those 2 by 4s
