Hey Mike welcome along! i too am a relitive newbe, and i'm from southampton... where bouts in hants u at? sure you will find everyone more than freindly and extremly knowledgeable should u need any advise!

Nathan.

hey man! 1st, welcome to mfk!
2nd, we need some pics of ur setups too :D
3rd, now lets go to ur topic...

2 arowanas is very hard BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE to do, why? because one may become overly aggressive to the other one and it may kill it!! BUT with a lil miracle u myt be able to have 2 that will or can tolerate each other. Although
we will suggest that u start with 3 or more if u want to try to comm these graceful fishes.

and lastly an 8x2x2 PERSONALLY i think is ok for them for life knowing that silvers of 2ft doesnt even need a foot long to make a turn. However, thats only opinion and i know some will not agree. ;)

i would like to get a baby arrowana and put it in a tank with my cichlids... they are awesome... but i need to do more reading

Hi everyone, I have just got home and switched on the computer. Thanks for all your replies, and thanks for making me fill welcome. Filipotela, i've taken your advice and moved the Corys out, hadn't thought about the aros trying to eat them, thanks for that.
Hi as well Nathan, glad i'm not the only new one at this, I live just up the road in Farnborough, junction 4 on the M3, I go past you everyday at the moment as I am working in Bournemouth.
I will try to take some pictures of my 2 tanks tomorrow night, so that you can all see them, its quite strange as we all keep these amazing fish, but our neighbours probably don't even no we have them, we never show off our hobby that we spend so much time on! I take it I just attach them to my personal gallery?

Thanks a lot guys, talk to you all soon, and I will work on the pictures tomorrow night.

Mike.

Hi, I managed to put some pictures on, sorry about the quality, but understanding digital cameras is never going to be my profession.
