he said "I have found that it will be beneficial to have a catfish as my clean-up crew." dats wat the rtc has to do with my other post lol

Good point! Way to recommend a fish that grows larger than the tank he's planning on putting it in and will eat the fish he said he wants...

i meant a rtc for his 125 gallon. but you will need more than a 125 when he grows bigger.

Uhm, he was looking for advice about his 40 gallon, he didn't include a wish to build a 1000 gallon pond in his house....

Tyler, welcome to MFK. As you can see there will be many varying opinions on the forum. Most of the time you will have someone step in with reason. Always a good idea to do preliminary research on your own and double check anything that someone tells you.

I suggest planting the tank. I have seen many with red wolves and their tank looks great. Plus I hear they do not disturb plants. As for catfish. It may not be a planted tank depending on the catfish you get. But I say if you want a catfish you will see, get a pim. blochii AKA 4 line pictus. Or you could get a school of 3-4 pim. pictus or spotted pictus. Another suggestion would be sun cats. They are cool and would be fine in a 40 gallon. But if you want a catfish you will literally never see then get a raphael catfish.

Pfft you guys just don't see your Raphs 'cause you have lights on the tanks... ;)

LMFAO! I love this forum so much so far, I was going ot go with a solo cat fish, and the wolf, perhaps something that gets similar in size so it doesnt get nommed, OR I could have my wolf reside in the belly of a rtc

Also, sorry for the double post, I have NO IDEA what some fo the acronyms used are, so if you could spell it out for my that would be AWESOMEEEEEE
