He eats like a pig, but refuses anything but live black worms atm.. which is fine as a few local places here sell them. Hopefully I will be able to get him on some pellets or at least frozen, though I know sometimes these guys are impossible to convert. Thank you again everyone for the kind words.

Think I found a girl to suit him. She is actually quiet a beauty. she does have an odd almost splintery like patch above her right top area where her gill bump is, I'm thinking possible parasites?... He's still doing amazing and they get blackworms 24/7 so hopefully she'll bulk up here very soon. picture is her right out of the bag about an hour ago.. and she went almost striaght to forageing the sand for worms
Good find. That's exactly what I'm looking for. My lfs has a female but I don't like the pattern. plus its $120. What is your store charging?

I paid 60$ for her and 30$ for him... but I know I got great deals on both fish.. and I stay away from some of the larger stores.. they tend to have higher mark-up. I've seen them at some lfs around here for 150$ and up.. and motoros 200$ and up. I'm hoping to get a female from the same place I got my male as soon as he can get me one ( he won't buy from the distributor unless they're in good condition) he cut me a deal as I wanted to buy 2, so I'm obligated to pick up another. Not that I mind much.. hopefully then the male won't need to be seperated much if at all if his aggression is divied up between the females. Or thats what my research seems to point me towards.
Great negotiation. My lfs says increased fuel costs are forcing them from $99 to 120 now. They said they used to be 59 like you got

They mean to say.. demand has risen so they increased their profit margin and don't want to be honest about it.. 
but I wouldn't tell them that. It might upset them. Unless the distributors out there are way more overpriced then they are here. my LFS gets them at 15$ each usually... I don't begrudge them one bit for their profit margin... but it's hard to pay 150$ for a 15$ fish.. that amount of mark-up imo is just blasphamy. kind like one of the threads earlier... if they where actually de-wormed and well cared for before being put up at those prices I'de be all over it. But I digress! hopefully you'll find some decent prices and rays, Just keep looking! I wasn't plannign on getting him a female quite so soon.. but when I saw her I knew I had to pounce on her.
