My first ray

Take water samples to check your water; ammonia, nitrate, nitrite & pH (please don't assume and just say it's all fine), first sign your water is off a little your ray will stop eating.
Do a 50% water change, then try ghoast shrimp,,,,,,,,if he doesn't eat that then you may have to treat for internal parasites.

First foods to try in order (in my opinion):
1. Ghoast shrimp----many LFS have this readily and will use as ray food but gets expencive.
2. Blackworms (live)
3. Earth worms---can be picked up just about at any tackle shop or convience store, cut up the rays seen to be unable to resist the smell.
Get him eating first then gaduate him to other foods.

Rays can go quite a while without food, weeks to month, when you start seeing pelvic bones or a dent in the head between the eyes then start worrying.
