My first rays

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its a comfort thing. shy rays do it, not a problem. most grow out of it as they become used to the new home but some hide quite alot. its one of those things.
keep an eye on your water as usual.

in the future if your rays become very confident and are out all the time, then one day start to hide out of the blue, then that could be a sighn of a problem. to suddenly change the way they act.
but yours are still very very new so i would say its compleatly normal for them to be hideing. as long as they eat then no worries.

very nice pair of rays you have.

Thanks guys, would it be ok if I start taking out all the sand in small amounts everyday? I think I want bare bottom but I'm not sure if it will cause more stress when they feel like hiding and they don't find sand.
