trust me...he will eat much more than 30 bucks worth of food...but then again u get the pleasure of raising one of these friendly beasts.

any fish for free is great
but when you get an RTC for free its just a lot better than great

The only problem I can see is with you letting it go....Once they mature...accept thier owner and start interacting with them...it's like giving up a favorite hound dog....

yep, i told him in the photo lounge he's going to end up falling in love with it, and he wont want to let it go..mine just started taking shrimp from my hand..quickly becoming my favorite fish.

I was thrilled whe Lucy...the RTC in my avitar...now 20" long... started taking shrimp from my hand... now she opens the glass top on her tank...runs her feelers all over me and rubs up against my hand in an effort to talk me out of more food.

hah! thats awesome man.

Hard to give up any pet let alone one that you never expected to have that type of relationship with ... you expect to feed them and enjoy watching them ... most people don't realize that they are more than your average fish and will actually act more like a puppy or kitten and will take to things like hand feeding (my 8 incher takes food so softly that I've let my 1 year old son hand feed him shrimp) never even made my son jump just giggled to himself LOL

to have them "want" to be petted was never expected either... I've had fish for years and never actually wanted to pet them till I got the RTC... he actually seems to enjoy it and that skin is just begging to be touched ... not like scaled fish thats for sure.

Own an RTC... Your adding a member of the family ... I don't think I'll ever be able to give it up... even if something happened to Buster (hevean forbid) I would get another one for SURE!
