also NO LIVING ANIMAL IS EXPENDABLE!!!! You should treat ALL LIFE as just that LIFE, if a 1 year old dog dies is that expendable?

do u not eat meat??? do u feed ur carnivore fish veggies??? all meat was a living animal at one time even carnivore pellets had a faces at one time

When people buy fish and say well if it dies that's okay that is not....I don't want to start a rant but one thing of you got a puppy for free would you just "toss"/kill it if was eating your sneakers?

y do u keep talkn about dogs??? this is about fish dogs can kill each other jus lik fish can wuts the diff between putn a sen with cichlids and putn a african butterfly with cichlids??? most fish combos r a risk

i guess it really all depends on ur tank mates. i got like a 7" jd, 8" four-lined cat, 3 synodontis(one 4", and two 6.5")1 common pleco all in a 110gallon. when i put 2 bichirs that were both about 3" or less, they did not get eaten. everything in my tank is pretty peaceful. The bichirs thought they were gonna get eaten so they were hiding for a good week, but finally learned they will not get eaten.

I must say all of the mixing of fish is hit or miss and just that. People will say this people will say that but u wont know till u try it. I have 5 bichirs in with 4 color tetra,BGK, and a flower horn and no deaths. But when i Had cichlids in the tank they would die off one by one and I didnt think it was my senegal(only had 3 at the time senegal was the biggest) cause the fish were to big for it, but i caught him in the act. He doesnt bother my color tetra and they are way smaller then he is and have been with him and the cichlids. Every fish is different. My senegal is very aggresive and most people say theirs are not. So I have learned i cannot mix malawi cichlids with my bichirs but everyone will get different results
