My first Silver Arowana - Osteoglossum bicirrhosum - ARO power!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Trying multiple silver arowana in one tank typically ends with one left. The others usually get chased out as they become territorial when they get some size on them. I have seen it work with big groups in big systems, but less than 6 and 500 gallons for the first couple years and I would advise against.

I bought this NLS food:

I tryed to brake one (7,5mm) granule in little pieces and my aro ate and spat them out... I hope little aro get used to this excelent food soon.

Meanwhile, at least it devours the NBS sticks M...

Any sugestions?

First, I would feed her blood worms, them mix in some flakes until you can feed her that food.

I would also look at "drop eye" disease in Aro's it can really effect how they look.
Search it up, several factors can cause it like:
-Having a big Catfish underneath her, she is scared always looking down and gets down eye.
-Having to get food from the bottom
-Some aquarium lights
-Bare bottom aquariums or even her seeing her own reflex

I am saying this from what I read around her, I would still search it up and maybe ask Joao M for some info.
